Before cleaning day
Remove belongings and rubbish, confirm access, and keep electricity and water available. Check your lease or handover agreement for any specific requirements.
Work room by room
Empty cupboards and wardrobes. Wipe shelves, counters, switches and accessible baseboards. Clean bathroom fixtures, mirrors and floors. Request appliance interiors and cabinet interiors where needed.
Do a final walkthrough
Look inside empty rooms, check overlooked corners and take any handover photos you need. Cleaning cannot guarantee a deposit refund; the condition of the property and your agreement also matter.
